The Royal Family has a remarkable collection of paintings, built up principally since
the time of Charles I. The paintings reproduced in this book usually hang in the private appartments of Windsor Castle,
and are not normally on view to the public. They are only occasionally lent to exhibitions. This is the companion volume
to an exhibition held at the National Museum of Wales comprising sixty paintings. The artists include Canaletto, Hogarth,
Stubbs, Gainsborough, Reynolds and Landseer, all in large format colour. (Welsh language) |
