This booklet is intended as an introduction to the native mountain plants of the British Isles.
These are species that are restricted to high altitude sites, but, as their name suggests, they are much more widespread
in the Arctic or Alpine areas of Europe, or in many cases both. Each species description is accompanies by a colour photograph
and European distribution map. The books also includes a general introduction covering plant distribution, adaptations, history,
conservation and legal protection issues.
