A century has passed since Welsh audiences saw projected motion pictures for the first time. Less than seven months
after the Lumiere brothers first displayed their Cinematographe machine in Paris in 1989, the new technology
had arrived in Cardiff. This book contains the cinema reminiscences of people from many parts of Wales, whose memories
range from the days of the silent pictures (when the ability to read was a distinct advantage) to the immediate post-war
years.
